About Out of the Loop, Into the Algorithm

The AI Book for People Who Feel Left Behind

From job loss to running two businesses in 6 months—here's how AI became my career lifeline

"Out of the Loop, Into the Algorithm" by Wanjiku Kamau isn't another technical manual. It's the honest story of how one woman went from frantically Googling "What is ChatGPT?" at an airport to confidently building websites, launching businesses, and becoming the go-to AI guide for friends and family—all without writing a single line of code.

Why This Book Matters Right Now

While everyone debates whether AI will take our jobs, smart people are learning to work with it. This book shows you exactly how to join them, using the same conversational approach that helped me pivot from corporate burnout to entrepreneurial confidence in less than a year.

What You'll Actually Get

  • The honest account of going from Googling 'What is ChatGPT?' to becoming the AI guide for friends and family
  • The five simple categories that organize AI chaos into manageable help
  • Real examples of spectacular failures (animated dogs with melting faces, anyone?) and genuine wins
  • A framework for working with AI that amplifies your voice instead of replacing it
  • Boundaries that keep you human while leveraging machine capabilities
  • The conversational approach that turns intimidating tools into thinking partners

No Technical Background Required

I clung to my BlackBerry until 2013. If I can master AI collaboration, you definitely can. No programming, no complex systems—just practical strategies for making AI work in your real life.

About the Author

Wanjiku Kamau spent twenty years in corporate America at Siemens, Intel, and Google, always the last to adopt new technology. Getting laid off from Google forced her into the AI world she'd been avoiding—and changed everything. Now she runs TealBridge consulting and TealVoice creative studio, helps women-owned businesses navigate AI adoption, and hosts The Dating Mosaic podcast. She lives in New York City with her dog Champ, who is still terrified of butterflies but fearless on escalators.

Perfect for women navigating career pivots, professionals feeling left behind by tech changes, and anyone tired of nodding along in AI conversations without really understanding what everyone's talking about.
